Rumba Energy Juice Drink Review

I'm not real cultured but I think the Rumba is one of those Latin dances. I think it's supposed to be all sexy and stuff and requires a lot of energy. I'm not sure that qualifies Rumba as a good name for an energy drink, but Hansens ran with it anyway. The intriguing thing about Rumba is that it's a 100% juice. We've had some juicy beverages such as Monster Khaos and Rockstar Juiced, but nothing that is 100% juice. The can is the large 16 oz. variety with a big orange to showcase the fruit component of the drink. The blue stripes and Rumba wording are there to evoke the Rumba shaking dance moves. They don't really evoke anything for me but look okay if not a little loud.

Coming out of the can Rumba is a dark thick orange in color like apricot juice. The energy juice is totally opaque and the combination of consistency and color makes it scary looking. The taste is weird, it's like some jacked fruit blend that I've never tasted. I can pick out some peach and pear in there, and definitely some orange. It reminds me of baby food most in flavor or a little bit like apple sauce. There are definitely better juice like beverages out there and I would stick with Rockstar Juiced as my favorite one. This one had potential with a unique idea of 100% juice but just doesn't execute on it. It's not that it's bad, more weird. But hey if you like baby food, you'll probably love this drink.

The ingredients in Hansens style are pretty much solid, but are not spectacular. No HFCS is another bonus of this all natural drink. There's filtered water, juice (orange, apple, pear, peach, tangerine, pineapple, white grape), glucose, taurine, gum stabilizer, ginseng, Vitamin C, caffeine, B Vitamins, guarana, l-carnitine, glucuronolactone, inositol, beta carotene, sucralose, maltodextrin. The energy boost was pretty high and I think it just misses the top 10 buzzers, which is impressive for a juicy drink.
